I just wanted to tell you that the cutter arrived today! And I am sooooo impressed and sooooo excited that all I want to do for the rest of my life is to cut strings! LOL! I cut a few hundred feet tonight, beveled them and sat on the couch braiding...and the UPS truck didn't arrive til 4! And I fixed dinner in the middle of all that! Thank you sooooo much! It's scary to send off a big check to someone you don't know and hope that things go well. With service like yours, faith in humanity can be restored one step at a time! Back to cutting!! Thanks again!
Love and Light,
Maeve
I got the cutter/beveller today and I have to admit that's it's even nicer than I imagined it would be. I've been using some old scrap upholstery cowhide to get the hang of things (before I go and cut up perfectly good 'Roo hide!!) and in 10 minutes I am producing lace so thin and even I could floss my teeth with it! I know now how the guy with the small museum of bevelling devices feels... I have tried to make any number of my own and having your cutter/beveller means I can trash all the other devices I have. Thanks for a tremendous product and the advance in craftmanship I can now acheive! I'll be in touch soon for a splitter.

I did a bit more reading since I wrote to you, it seems pretty critical that I use quality strings that are beveled. I will be searching for sources of pre-made rawhide strings that are beveled and in the meantime save my pennies for your cutter beveler in the future.
Cheers, thanks for the tip on the rawhide products sources.

I received the cutter beveler last week, and I am very pleased with it, the quality of my leather and rawhide strings is so much better with this cutter, plus it is so easy to bevel. I also received the Roo hide article, thanks, it is very helpful.
It mentioned at the end of the article that you guys supply splitters too, do you still have splitters? Can you tell me more about them? Also, can you suggest a supplier of Kangaroo hides?
Thanks again,
Kathy
I am waiting on payment for some leather work that I just completed and when I receive that check I will write one for you. I expect the check next week.
I have been looking forward to getting one of your bevelers for a long time. They look like a good one.
Thank you.
Dave
Jonesie started cutting strings yesterday. They are not as pretty as yours, but will work. The only way to get better is to jump in and start logging experience, right? All is going well.
Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the advice on the knot tightening - will try the pounding down before I try the tightening.
Thanks again for your help and patience!!!

Thank you very much for your note. I must say I was a bit relieved to learn that the cutter I have was not made by your company. I was also very pleased by your offer to take a crack at fixing the clamp so it works. The fact that the shaft is not precisely perpendicular to the face of the clamp frame doesn't really affect the function of the tool; it simply betokens sloppy workmanship.
So, here's what I'd like to do:
(I) Ship off my cutter to you so you can see if the clamp can be repaired. If you can fix it, I'll keep the tool as a spare or give it away to a braiding friend. You can tell me the cost by email so I can send you payment before you ship it back.
(II) Order one of your design cutter bevelers with polycarbonate sleeves. I'll put a check in the mail to you tomorrow.
As I believe I mentioned in a previous message, I would also like to see a picture of your splitter when one becomes available and to learn what price you intend to sell it.
Thank you very much.

My daughter Kathleen has been using the cutter beveler and is having great results with it. What is your advice about buying a leather splitter?
Thanks so much for your help.
Sincerely,
Carol A.
The cutter beveler arrived in fine condition. It is very nicely made, doesn't weigh a ton and the clamp works!
I look forward to hearing from you about the clamp repair.
Best,
Bill
The beveler cutter arrived yesterday and I started using it right away by giving it the difficult (impossible) task of beveling very narrow Roo lace which has given me the fits since I started working with the stuff. The tool worked wonderfully! Even better than I expected. Simple and easy. This is one fine product. I also want to pass along my praise to you for the sturdy nature of the device. This could easily be an heirloom handed down from generation to generation. You have made my hobby a lot less frustrating. This thing is actually fun to use. You should see the small museum of beveling devices I have constructed out of wood, aluminum, and PVC over the past few years. Now... I can throw them all out!
Thanks again for the wonderful product.

I recently bought your leather cutter beveler and am very pleased with it, not long before this I purchased a professional leather splitter from T..... which is pretty useless, so I'd like details on the splitter that you do please, I tried searching on ebay... I'm hoping that you've not ceased trading as it is looking likely that I'll need to return to T..... the splitter I have and so will be wanting to buy one of yours...
Best Wishes

The splitter, like the beveler I bought from you is EXCELLENT it arrived all in one piece and is firmly attached to my work bench, thank you very much...
I'll be in touch when I need more blades, and once again many many thanks

Just got the Cutter yesterday, and it cuts like a Dream!!!!!! It's so nice to have a good tool to work with. This Cutter is the Rolls Royce of strip cutters. Glad to own it.
